The Central Virginia Transportation Planning Organization (CVTPO), gives public notice that it complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (Public Law 100.259), and all related statutes. The CVTPO, as an organization of the Central Virginia Planning District Commission (CVPDC), has adopted the CVPDC Title VI Implementation Plan as the CVTPO Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 policy document. The Title VI Plan articulates the process by which the CVTPO in the execution of all programs and project endeavors to ensure nondiscrimination with regard to race, color, national origin, income, gender, age or disability, in the execution of program communication, public participation, planning and programming, consultant contracts, and education and training.

The CVTPO shall not, in accordance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.
Complaint Procedure
Any person that believes they or any specific person, has been subjected to discrimination prohibited by Title VI or ADA may file a written complaint with the CVPDC Title VI Coordinator. Said complaint must be submitted not later than 180 days after the date of the alleged discrimination instance. Public Participation
The CVTPO endeavors to support engaging members of the public in the transportation planning process. The CVTPO Public Participation Plan (PPP) serves as the resource to guide activities to support access by public stakeholders and interested parties to be engaged, involved, and provided the opportunity to provide comment to transportation planning programs and projects that take place in the urbanized area.
